It won’t have everything that everyone needs, but it covers the main features that most online course creators need.

Kajabi includes website hosting and gives you unlimited landing pages. This will let you build your website in Kajabi as well as all the funnels and lead magnets you want to sell your products and grow your email list. This is not a feature of ConvertKit.

Course Creation 

Kajabi provides entrepreneurs with the tools they need to create and sell online courses, including video hosting, course templates, quizzes and certificates. Kajabi introduced the creator studio in 2023 which makes it easy to generate closed caption files for your videos and repurpose your course videos for social media content. If you are looking for a specialized email marketing platform then you want ConvertKit. I don’t think anyone has chosen to use Kajabi and only used it for its email marketing tools.

There are situations where you would use both Kajabi and ConvertKit. I’ve seen people do this because they are switching to Kajabi for their online courses and maybe also their website but are very happy with ConvertKit and don’t want to bring all their emails and sequences into Kajabi.

Kajabi has a built in integration with ConvertKit and will send name and email details from Kajabi forms to ConvertKit. This is only somewhat useful. The integration does not send any tag information to ConvertKit, so if you need more than name and email shared between the platforms, you will need to use Zapier to send that data.

Both platforms offer excellent customer support, with Kajabi providing chat and email support and ConvertKit offering email support. Both ConvertKit and Kajabi also have an extensive knowledge base and a community forum where users can share tips and ideas.
